Job summary

Curtin University Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Receivable officer to manage student fee revenue, receipts and related accounting tasks within the Financial Services Department.

You will audit cash collections, verify AR recaps, and ensure refunds are correctly applied, while supporting reporting and e-invoicing compliance. A Degree or Diploma in Accountancy/Finance with 2+ years' experience and proficiency in Excel are required.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional work experience.
• Proficient with accounting software and MS Office.
• Attention to detail and time management.
• Good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Process, manage and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in student fee revenue and payments.
• Audit and verify daily cash collection and AR recaps, ensuring correct posting.
• Check refunds against deposits and overpayments in student accounts.
• Review bank statements daily and trace unknown funds.
• Respond to emails and calls about fees, initiate investigations, and resolve queries.
• Assist AR Senior Accounts Officer with financial management and reporting.
