Job summary

Ye Consult is seeking a Junior Structural / Civil Engineer to support design, analysis and documentation in a consulting engineering environment. You will assist senior engineers with structural design calculations and help design beams, columns, slabs and foundations.

You will perform structural analysis using ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE and Prota, check dead, live, wind and seismic loadings, prepare drawings, coordinate with drafters or BIM modelers, and prepare design reports and submissions.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in structural design calculations.
• Design beams, columns, slabs, and footings/foundations.
• Prepare preliminary design concepts.
• Perform structural analysis using ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE and Prota.
• Check dead, live, wind and seismic loadings.
• Prepare and review structural drawings and details.
• Coordinate with drafters / BIM modelers.
• Provide technical advice when issues arise on site.

In a consulting engineering company, a Junior Structural / Civil Engineer mainly works on design, analysis, and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in structural design calculations
• Design structural components such as beams, columns, slabs, and footings / foundations
• Prepare preliminary design concepts
• Perform structural analysis using software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, and Prota
• Check loadings include dead load, live load, wind load, and seismic load
• Prepare and review structural drawings and details
• Coordinate with drafters / BIM modelers
• Ensure drawings comply with engineering design requirements
• Prepare structural calculation reports, design reports, and technical submissions
• Assist in preparing documents for authority submission
• Conduct site inspections to ensure construction follows design drawings
• Provide technical advice when issues arise on site

• Work closely with architects, civil engineers, M&E engineers, and project managers
• Attend technical meetings and design discussions
