Job summary

OCBC Bank Malaysia is seeking an Analyst in Strategy & Transformation within Consumer Financial Services. The role focuses on supporting daily sales performance reporting, MIS needs, and forecasting across channels.

You will work under the Head of Retail Analytics & Sales Performance to deliver accurate insights and maintain audit-ready processes. The position requires a Diploma in a quantitative field with 1-2 years experience, and strong Excel/SQL/VBA/Python skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a quantitative field required with 1-2 years related experience.
• Strong technical skills with MS Excel, Power Query, SQL, VBA and Python.
• Data warehousing knowledge is advantageous.
• Professional maturity and results orientation are essential.
• Good communication and business partnering skills are valuable.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Experience in data management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely support for daily sales performance reporting and ad-hoc MI requests for sales strategic planning/forecast.
• Understand operational flow and identify key operational risk areas.
• Document procedure changes to ensure audit compliance.
• Assist with day-to-day activities for Sales Performance.
• Assist with data analysis, data validation and feature engineering for Raw datasets.
• Assist with User Acceptance Test (when required).
• Analyze Sales performance data to generate insights for senior management.
• Develop forecasting models using predictive analytics techniques for Sales across channels.
• Scenario testing and simulations to test and learn hypotheses for productivity.
