Job summary

MFE Port Klang is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement, planning, inventory control and logistics for its Malaysian operations. You will ensure material availability, cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery to support manufacturing and customer requirements.

Candidates should have a strong track record in procurement, supplier management and cost optimisation, with 10+ years in supply chain roles and at least 5 years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant procurement and supply chain experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Experience in manufacturing, preferably aluminium, metal fabrication, building materials or a related industry.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, contract negotiation and cost management.
• Knowledge of international purchasing, import procedures, logistics and Incoterms.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in materials planning, inventory control and logistics coordination.
• Proven ability to analyse operational data, assess problems and implement practical corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop supply chain strategies, policies and procedures aligned with operational requirements and company objectives.
• Lead sourcing, evaluation, selection and qualification of local and overseas suppliers.
• Oversee procurement of aluminium, manufacturing consumables, machinery, spare parts, subcontracting services and other operational requirements.
• Review supplier performance in quality, delivery, pricing, capacity and responsiveness.
• Coordinate audits of manufacturing suppliers in Malaysia and overseas with Quality and Engineering, and follow up corrective actions to closure.
• Lead negotiations on prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and contractual conditions.
