Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Executive to lead procurement strategies for raw materials, custom components, and manufacturing supplies. You will evaluate suppliers, manage vendor registries, and drive cost reductions to improve lead times.

Ideal candidates have practical sourcing and procurement experience in manufacturing, proficiency with ERP/SCM tools, and strong negotiation and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Practical background in strategic sourcing, vendor management, or material procurement within a manufacturing setting.
• Applied knowledge of component fabrication, raw material categories, or custom engineered parts.
• Practical proficiency using enterprise resource planning systems and supply chain tools.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cross-functional communication abilities.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a matching field.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategic sourcing programs to secure raw materials, custom components, and manufacturing supplies.
• Conduct supplier performance evaluations and manage the approved vendor registry using structured scorecard systems.
• Lead price negotiations and cost reduction programs to achieve target savings and lead-time reductions.
• Analyze component cost breakdowns and market pricing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal quality and engineering functions to qualify new suppliers and execute vendor audits.
