SHB Malaysia Automotive Appliance Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage sourcing, supplier development, and procurement for production materials, with a focus on local Malaysian suppliers and cost efficiency.

The role involves handling quotations, PO issuance, delivery tracking, and supplier performance monitoring, with collaboration across internal teams and China HQ.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Procurement, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in Mandarin (written & spoken), English, and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate effectively with China HQ, local suppliers, and internal departments.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with good knowledge of purchasing and supplier management processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Sourcing & Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop Malaysian suppliers for direct materials and production components based on company requirements.
• Procurement Execution: Handle quotation, price comparison, negotiation, purchase order (PO) issuance, delivery tracking, and material supply follow-up.
• Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance in quality, cost, delivery, and service, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain reliable supplier relationships.
• Cost Control & Analysis: Conduct price comparison, cost analysis, market research, and supplier negotiation to support cost reduction and improve purchasing efficiency.
• Quality & Documentation Management: Coordinate supplier quality and delivery issues while maintaining supplier records, purchasing documents, invoices, reconciliation, and monthly reports.
