Job summary

Confidential Jobs is seeking a results-driven professional to lead the product and commodity portfolio in the food sector. You will source products, negotiate competitive pricing and monitor market trends to ensure Sales has offerings that meet customer needs.

You will evaluate new products based on demand and business potential, work with Sales to develop solutions, and manage pricing, margins and supplier relationships to drive growth in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Business, Food Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of sales/business development experience.
• Experience with commodity products in the food segment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Data analysis skills and ability to adapt to market changes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the product/commodity portfolio by sourcing products and negotiating pricing.
• Evaluate new products based on market demand and business potential.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and support growth.
• Maintain a competitive portfolio aligned with business strategy.
• Assess lifecycle, sales performance and market potential for introductions or phase-outs.
• Collaborate with Sales and other departments to meet customer needs with suitable product solutions.
• Set and review pricing to ensure competitiveness and margins.
• Monitor market prices, supplier movements and commodity trends.
• Adjust pricing in response to cost fluctuations and market conditions.
• Provide product and market information to support Sales in acquiring new customers.
