Job summary

The client, a manufacturing company specialising in electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, seeks a seasoned Procurement Lead to manage end-to-end procurement and order fulfilment. You will lead supplier sourcing, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings while ensuring material availability across Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Production and Sales.

Candidates should have 4–6 years in procurement, strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder skills, and experience with ERP

Qualifications

Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, or related disciplines.
4–6 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial automation.
Strong experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, strategic procurement, and vendor management.
Proven ability to negotiate pricing and commercial terms while achieving cost savings.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing.
Develop and improve procurement policies, processes, and strategies for efficiency.
Source, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery, and reliability.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement corrective actions.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to maximize value.
Review purchase requisitions and orders per policies and authority.
Maintain strong supplier relationships for consistent supply and cost competitiveness.
Coordinate with Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Production, and Sales to ensure material availability.
Monitor delivery schedules and resolve supply disruptions.
Manage supplier quality issues and changes with stakeholders.
Conduct market research to identify alternative suppliers and reduce procurement risks.
Analyze procurement data and spending trends to identify optimization opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Support inventory optimization and mentor junior staff.
