Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement staff to source and evaluate suppliers, prepare purchase orders, and monitor deliveries at its Bayan Lepas, Penang site.

You will negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules, maintain supplier records, and support cost-reduction initiatives while working closely with Planning and Production teams. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP is required; English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential, Mandarin a bonus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Relevant purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Good negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP/MRP systems.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suitable suppliers, materials and quotations.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders according to approved requirements.
• Follow up on material delivery and resolve shortages or delivery delays.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material requirements with the Planning and Production teams.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information and documentation.
• Handle supplier quality, quantity and invoice discrepancies.
• Support cost-reduction and supplier performance improvement activities.
