Job summary

Molex in Malaysia is seeking an Engineer for New Product Development Sourcing (NPD Sourcing Engineer) to drive sourcing activities across the PDP, ensuring cost competitiveness and supply continuity for new products. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and suppliers to enable successful product launches and value creation.

You will work within the Global Procurement team's NPD Sourcing group, engaging with engineering, manufacturing, planning, and finance to optimize supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; exposure to sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, or supply chain management is an advantage.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, sourcing, supplier management, and cost analysis.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering and Product Development teams throughout the Product Development Process (PDP).
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for new product development projects and support successful product launches.
• Lead sourcing activities including RFQs, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, and cost analyses.
• Drive Design-to-Value initiatives and support BOM and CAPEX objectives.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships and support supplier qualification and onboarding activities.
• Identify and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risks to support flawless product launches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sourcing deliverables, process improvements, and innovation opportunities.
