SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Bhd is seeking a Planner to join our manufacturing team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. You will plan and coordinate production schedules, manage inventory, and produce Route Cards to support on-time deliveries.

Collaboration with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, and Logistics is essential to ensure smooth operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years' experience in

Bachelor's degree in Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
2 years of experience in production planning in manufacturing environment.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP/MRP systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Prioritize work orders based on customer delivery requirements.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules.
Coordinate machine capacity and resource utilization.
Monitor raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory.
Maintain inventory accuracy.
Coordinate with Purchasing to resolve shortages.
Create, issue, and maintain Production Route Cards for all manufacturing jobs.
Generate Route Cards based on customer orders, BOM, engineering drawings, and manufacturing requirements.
Define manufacturing operation sequences and process routing in collaboration with Engineering and Production departments.
Ensure Route Cards are released together with production work orders.
Monitor Route Card movement and update job status throughout the manufacturing process.
Track job progress and WIP status using Route Cards.
Coordinate Route Card revisions due to engineering changes or customer requirements.
Maintain Route Card records for traceability, audits, and reporting.
Arrange local and international shipments.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and transporters.
Monitor shipment status and documentation.
Coordinate between Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Sales and Logistics.
Communicate production status and delivery schedules.
Escalate operational risks.
Monitor work order progress and WIP status.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for management.
