Job summary

• Experience or understanding of material shortages and production planning is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review customer demands and monitor raw material and component orders and stocks to ensure timely delivery supporting production schedules by expediting materials deliveries.
• Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
• Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
• Implement processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Minimize obsolete stock and ensure minimal liability.
• Create regular statistical reports and analysis for the Program Manager or customers.
• Coordinate with Program management & production team to meet customer orders.
• Analyze material availability and provide CTB to production planner to develop an aggressive but achievable production schedule.
• Run weekly system reports to identify potential material shortages to be expedited.
• Ensure accuracy of CTB report by validating it.
• Follow-up with buyers to ensure materials are available per load plan.
• Expedite materials as required or adjust orders per demand changes.
• Liaise with PM and engineers on material issues, phase in/out of products with ECN, minimize excess/obsolescence.
• Provide EnO reason & request for scrap
