Job summary

You will manage MRP execution, supplier performance, and communication with Buyers and Commodity Managers. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are essential to minimise materials liability and costs.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a PC including Windows-based software.
• Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil software packages.

Responsibilities

• Participate in decision making of MPS loading through proper materials sizing.
• Analyze, maintain, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP). Continuously monitor materials pipeline to meet MRP requirements.
• Ensure materials availability to support production per MPS through MRP execution and on-time delivery.
• Minimize materials liability by understanding ownership and negotiating terms with suppliers.
• Issue Purchase Orders under negotiated terms with suppliers.
• Optimize order management to ensure effective supplier communication.
• Maintain master data and planning parameters to balance procurement cost and inventory levels.
• Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance; address issues using corrective actions.
• Support Accounts Payable in resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Provide inputs to drive commodity and pricing strategy; feedback on supplier performance.
• Minimize materials freight expenses.
• Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality, and service.
