Job summary

Kanry Search invites an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead end-to-end planning, scheduling and control in a manufacturing setting in Malaysia. You will review forecasts, orders and delivery dates, and convert them into actionable production schedules across lines and work centres.

You will manage capacity planning, lead time optimization and recovery plans, coordinate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain, and mentor the planning team to improve schedule accuracy and on-time

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations Management.
• At least eight years in production planning or scheduling in manufacturing.
• Minimum three years leading a production planning team.
• Strong mastery of master production scheduling and shop-floor control.
• Experience handling forecasts, priorities, backlogs and delivery commitments.
• Excellent communication with customers on schedules and risks.
• Proficient in SAP and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production planning, scheduling and control.
• Review forecasts, orders, delivery dates and priorities.
• Develop monthly, weekly and daily production schedules.
• Translate orders into detailed schedules for lines and work centres.
• Determine sequencing based on capacity and urgency.
• Communicate status and risks to customers promptly.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, NPI and Supply Chain.
• Monitor KPIs like schedule adherence and on-time delivery.
• Lead scheduling meetings and drive recovery plans.
• Maintain ERP schedules and planning parameters.
