Job summary

Ferrotec Power Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Costing Executive to join our finance team in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. You will prepare and maintain product costing, including material, labour and overhead, perform variance analysis, and support monthly closing and cost reporting.

The role requires BOM stewardship, inventory costing, and collaboration with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate costing information and cost control.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing costing, standard costing, BOM, WIP and inventory costing with variance analysis.
• 2–3 years of costing/accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product costing, including material, labour and manufacturing overhead costs.
• Perform standard cost vs. actual cost analysis and investigate variances.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, including material usage, labour, overhead, yield and production variances.
• Review and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and product cost structures.
• Monitor and analyse raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory costs.
• Assist with monthly closing, inventory reconciliation and manufacturing cost reporting.
• Prepare cost analysis, margin and profitability reports for management.
• Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting and cost planning.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure accurate costing information.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
