Job summary

Abbott in Malaysia seeks an IT Business Relationship Manager to align technology solutions with business strategies, working closely with senior management. You will guide cross-functional teams and translate business needs into IT requirements, while driving strategic SAP configurations.

The role emphasizes collaboration, project oversight, and consultancy to optimize processes and leverage enabling technologies for hospital and health-care clients in the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT and/or complimentary business degree.
• At least 8 years of IT experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Ability to translate business priorities into IT requirements.
• Root cause analysis and problem resolution skills.
• Exposure to project management.
• Strong collaboration and partnering skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with senior leaders.
• Ability to influence and manage by influence.
• Firm but fair with regard to operational deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Align technology solutions with business strategies, working principally with senior management.
• Partner with IT functional groups to communicate business needs and develop long-range system plans.
• Provide strategic consultancy to customers on business processes and enabling technologies.
• Apply technology to business processes by researching trends and competitors’ practices.
• Assess near-term needs via structured interviews and advise on options, risks, costs.
• Coordinate with IT areas to inform progress and resolve conflicts.
• Develop and motivate the technical team to meet department objectives.
• In SAP, set options to change how the program works (configuration).
