Job summary

CSS in Penang is seeking an Analyst - Purchasing and Inventory to act as the liaison with vendors, using quality metrics and inventory controls to optimize service levels and keep the supply chain competitive.

You will monitor stock, manage letters of intent, expedite orders, resolve invoicing issues, and collaborate with customer service to align lead times and pricing across departments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 2 years relevant experience required; 3 years preferred.
• 3 years expediting experience required; 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and recommend stock adjustments as necessary
• Maintain customer inventory letters of intent
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships with vendors and sales teams
• Expedite orders and ensure on-time delivery
• Resolve receiving problems and invoicing issues
• Place orders with suppliers as necessary
• Collaborate with customer service regarding lead times and pricing
• Communicate rescheduling to prevent line stoppages
• Maintain vendor contact base
• Analyze inventory reports and recommend rebalancing and returns
• Coordinate intercompany and supplier returns
• Perform analysis and present recommendations on inventory-related reports
