Job summary

Addiction Foods NZ Ltd. in Malaysia is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner / HR Generalist to support employees and regional operations.

This role combines HR business partnering with day‑to‑day HR operations, managing employee matters, recruitment, performance management, HR compliance and administration. You will partner with managers on employee relations, onboarding, lifecycle management, payroll coordination, and HRIS maintenance, ensuring adherence to Malaysian employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (HR, business, psychology or related field).
• 3–5 years of HR Generalist / HR Business Partner experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management and HR operations.
• Good working knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and HR compliance.
• Must be able to speak Chinese for stakeholder communication.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers on employee relations, learning & development, performance management, workforce planning and HR matters.
• Manage the employee lifecycle: onboarding, confirmation, transfers, changes and offboarding.
• Support and coordinate recruitment and selection for assigned roles.
• Handle employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, grievances and performance concerns.
• Support performance reviews, improvement plans and employee development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation and HRIS information.
• Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, leave and employee benefits with stakeholders.
• Ensure HR practices comply with Malaysia employment laws and company policies.
• Prepare employment letters, HR reports, employee communications and other HR documentation.
• Support HR projects, policy implementation and process improvements.
• Work with regional managers across different countries and cultures.
• Communicate with Chinese-speaking employees and stakeholders when required.
