Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a Purchasing Services Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Purchasing Services and drive compliance with service standards and hospital policies. You will establish supplier relationships, evaluate performance, monitor stock turnover, and manage budgeting and staff development.

The role requires strong procurement strategy, leadership, and analytical skills, with experience in healthcare procurement. On-site work in Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–4 years related working experience.
• Diploma in Business Administration or Purchasing Management or equivalent.
• Experience in hospital purchasing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Purchasing Services.
• Develop, implement and review service standards, guidelines and procedures.
• Establish supplier relationships and evaluate performance.
• Ensure supply of products meets user requirements and report discrepancies.
• Monitor pricing updates and hospital markup formulas.
• Oversee stock turnover and maintain stock levels within targets.
• Plan, manage and justify budget and resource utilization.
• Conduct quarterly stock counts and monitor expiry dates.
• Develop and upgrade Purchasing Services systems aligned with hospital goals.
• Plan staffing, conduct interviews, and appraise Purchasing personnel.
• Ensure adherence to policies, accreditation standards, and data protection.
