Job summary

Businesslist seeks a Senior Manager Government Relations & Strategic Partnership to lead government relations, public affairs and strategic partnerships in Malaysia. The role demands a strong network across government ministries and senior stakeholders, with responsibility for revenue growth through sponsorships and partnerships.

You will oversee outreach, commercial proposals, budgets and engagement at high-level events, while coaching a small team and ensuring top-tier stakeholder reporting.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years' experience within government relations, public affairs, corporate affairs, political communications or strategic partnerships.
• Established network across government ministries, agencies and political stakeholders.
• Strong business development and relationship management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior leaders, executives and key decision-makers.
• High level of professionalism, discretion and non-partisan judgement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with government, political and corporate stakeholders.
• Drive sponsorship, advertising and partnership revenue growth.
• Secure strategic collaborations, interviews and event participation.
• Prepare commercial proposals, budgets and partnership agreements.
• Lead outreach initiatives and represent the organisation at high-level engagements.
• Manage and coach a small team while ensuring strong stakeholder tracking and reporting processes.
