Job summary

Malaysia Land Properties Sdn Bhd (Mayland Group of Companies) seeks an experienced finance leader to manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions for property development projects. You will oversee month‑end/year‑end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management and internal controls, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Reporting to Management, you will supervise the finance team, liaise with auditors and tax agents, and provide financial insights to guide project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably with experience in property development, real estate or construction.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, taxation, cash flow management and internal controls.
• Experience in managing a full set of accounts is essential.
• Experience in property development accounting is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions assigned to the role, including month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting and maintenance of accounting records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, audit, tax and corporate governance matters.
• Ensure proper accounting controls and financial systems are maintained accurately, up to date and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts for Management review.
• Analyse monthly financial statements and provide financial insights and recommendations to Management.
• Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts, working capital requirements and other project-related financial commitments.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers and other professional advisors on finance-related matters.
• Prepare financial and management reports or analysis as and when required.
• Resolve finance-related issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the assigned finance functions.
• Supervise and provide guidance to finance team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of their duties.
