Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a procurement-focused candidate to manage purchasing of food ingredients and supplies for a busy operation. You will source suppliers, obtain quotations, and compare terms to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires organized handling of purchasing documentation, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to follow up independently while coordinating with kitchen, receiving, store and accounts to prevent shortages.

Qualifications

• Preferably with purchasing/procurement experience, especially in F&B, hotel or restaurant operations.
• Familiarity with food ingredients and supplier sourcing is an advantage.
• Good negotiation and cost-control skills.
• Organized and comfortable handling purchasing documentation.
• Responsible, detail-oriented and able to follow up independently.

Responsibilities

• Handle purchasing of food ingredients, seafood, meat, dry goods, packaging, cleaning supplies and other operational items.
• Source suitable suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Compare pricing, quality and supplier terms.
• Negotiate prices and delivery arrangements.
• Prepare and maintain PO, DO and invoice documentation.
• Coordinate orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or unnecessary over-ordering.
• Work closely with kitchen, receiving, store and accounts.
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing and product quality.
• Source alternative suppliers when required.
