Lam Research in Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Strategic Commodity Manager for Electromechanical assembly. You will lead supplier negotiations, craft strategic plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to secure on-time, cost-efficient finished goods.

The role requires strong supplier-management capabilities, early involvement in design, and ongoing performance, risk, and contract optimization across the global supply chain.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/MS in business or a technical field (global supply chain, industrial engineering, manufacturing, electrical/mechanical engineering, etc.).
• MBA preferred.
• 7–10+ years in Supply Chain, Operations or production/planning; semiconductor experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and urgency.

Responsabilités

• Lead supplier Global Agreement negotiations, renegotiations and contract addenda.
• Represent strategic commodity management on cross-functional teams to address supply challenges.
• Work cross-functionally with product, manufacturing, quality, procurement, finance, and product support.
• Define and monitor metrics relative to supplier performance and drive improvements.
• Develop strategic commodity plans for a defined EMA base and drive early supplier involvement in new designs.
