Confidential Search in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to support financial planning, cost management, and business performance improvement, with a focus on manufacturing and operational costs. You will analyze costs, prepare monthly reports, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and identify cost-saving opportunities to drive profitability and efficiency.

The role requires strong Excel skills, FP&A experience in manufacturing, and the ability to influence decisions with actionable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management accounting, or related discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CMA, or MIA membership, will be an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in financial analysis, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting.
• Manufacturing costing and cost variance analysis experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; Power Query/Power BI knowledge a plus.

Responsabilités

• Cost Analysis & Control – Analyze and monitor manufacturing and operational costs, investigate variances, and recommend actions to improve efficiency.
• Budgeting & Forecasting – Assist in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Financial & Business Performance Analysis – Prepare monthly management reports and analyze performance against budgets/forecasts/targets.
• Product Costing & Profitability Analysis – Analyze product costs, material usage, overheads, inventory valuation, and margins.
• Cost Optimization & Improvement – Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency.
• Business Insights & Decision Support – Provide financial analysis to support pricing, margins, and performance.
• Internal Controls & Audit Support – Support audits and ensure compliance with policies and controls.
• Ad Hoc Assignments – Undertake additional finance-related projects.
