Job summary

Lam Research International Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Strategic Commodity Manager for Metal Machining to drive supplier strategy, negotiations, and contract management within the Build to Print Fabrication space.

You will work across product, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure delivery with optimal cost and quality. The role requires 7–10+ years in supply chain/operations, a strong analytical mindset, and exposure to strategic sourcing in a global semiconductor context.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: BA/BS/MS in Business or a technical field listed herein (Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Science Operations Management, Global Supply Chain Management; MBA preferred).
• Minimum Experience: 7-10+ years in a Supply Chain/Operations/production planning environment; Semiconductor industry preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of resolution.
• Attention to detail, sense of urgency, able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Six Sigma green belt or above is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead commodity management for Metal Machining within Build to Print Fabrication; ensure Finished Goods delivered per plan.
• Plan, organize and control contracts/negotiations for strategic acquisition of materials/services.
• Drive supplier contract management, negotiations, and supplier management strategies based on semiconductor tech landscapes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, manufacturing, quality, procurement, finance, and product support teams.
• Define and monitor metrics aligned with annual operating plan and supplier performance.
