Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Strategic Commodity Manager in a role focused on metal machining within the Build to Print Fabrication space. You will manage strategic supplier contracts, negotiate terms, and drive supplier performance across the global supply chain.

You will lead cross-functional teams, develop long-term supplier strategies, and address cost, quality, and delivery challenges in a highly visible environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/MS in Business or technical field is required or preferred.
• 7–10+ years in a Supply Chain, Operations or production/planning environment, preferably in semiconductor industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a history of delivering results.
• Excellent attention to detail, urgency, and multi-tasking in fast-paced settings.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic commodity management for metal machining within Global Supply Chain.
• Plan, organize, and manage contracts/negotiations for materials and services.
• Drive supplier contract management, negotiations, and supplier performance metrics.
• Monitor cost, quality, and delivery risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate early supplier involvement in new product designs to optimize quality and cost.
