Job summary

BASF Malaysia is seeking a Finance Reporting Analyst to deliver business reporting services to internal stakeholders with accuracy and timeliness. The role includes maintaining master data across material ledger, inventory valuation, and budgeting processes, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in finance and accounting, at least 2 years in finance roles, and strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance and accounting or business studies is required.
• Chartered or Certified Professional Accountant or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance and accounting functions, preferably in business reporting.
• Proficiency in English and other languages as required with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver business reporting services with accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
• Maintain master data for material ledger, inventory valuation, production planning budgets and related accounting.
• Perform monthly standard and actual price calculations with correct stock valuation.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closes timely and accurately.
• Analyze cost variations and plan vs. actual comparisons for manufacturing costs and capacity utilization.
• Provide business analysis and advisory support to customers and controlling units.
