Job summary

Avaland Berhad group in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to lead the monthly closing cycle, oversee statements, cashflow, tax computations, and related reports. You will prepare project cashflow projections, reconcile audit and tax schedules, assist budgeting and profit recognition, and liaise with bankers, auditors and business units.

A degree or professional qualification with at least five years’ experience in construction or property development is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or professional finance/accounting qualification; 5+ years relevant experience.
• Familiar with construction and property development industry.
• Team player with strong analytical and communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial closing including entries, income statement, balance sheet, cashflow, tax computations.
• Prepare and update project cashflow projection.
• Reconcile audit and tax schedules with Group Tax Department.
• Review tax estimations for periodic self-assessment.
• Coordinate with bankers, auditors and business units.
• Assist budgeting and monthly profit recognition.
• Draft audit financial reports with team.
