Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Receiving & Inspection
- Receive incoming goods, materials, and supplies.
- Inspect quantity and quality to ensure accuracy with delivery orders, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the supervisor.
2. Storage & Inventory Management
- Arrange and store items in designated areas following FIFO, safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update stock movements in system or manual log.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with cycle or annual stock take.
- Monitor stock levels and highlight low or slow-moving items.
3. Issuance & Material Handling
- Issue materials to departments based on approved requests.
- Ensure proper documentation for all stock in/out movements.
- Handle materials safely using appropriate equipment (trolley, pallet jack, forklift if certified).
4. Loading & Unloading Supervision
- Oversee and guide workers during container loading and unloading activities.
- Ensure safe handling of goods to prevent damage or injury.
- Coordinate manpower and workflow to ensure efficient and timely loading/unloading processes.
- Check and verify items during loading/unloading to ensure accuracy.
5. Warehouse Organisation & Safety
- Maintain store cleanliness, proper arrangement, and safe storage practices.
- Ensure goods are stored securely to prevent damage or accidents.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and support warehouse audits.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Update daily stock records accurately.
- Prepare stock reports when required.
- Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers, and serial numbers as applicable.
Job Requirements
- SPM or equivalent; warehouse/store experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory system).
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently.
- Forklift license/certification is an advantage.
