Job summary

XSD International Paper Sdn Bhd, Kedah, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced Steam Boiler Engineer to oversee boiler operations, maintenance, and compliance with safety standards. The role requires a DOSH Grade 2 Steam Engineer certification and a minimum of four years in the field.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to Padang Serai Kulim, Kedah, for the position. The successful candidate will lead preventive maintenance, ensure adherence to SOPs, and coordinate inspections in line with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical) or related fields as listed.
• At least 4 years of relevant steam boiler experience.
• Must hold DOSH Grade 2 Steam Engineer certification.
• Willingness to relocate to Padang Serai Kulim, Kedah.
• Languages: Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (added advantage), English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee steam boiler operation, ensuring efficiency, safe operation and preventive maintenance.
• Be present at regular inspections and other inspections as required by an Inspector.
• Implement plans to improve results in line with quality standards.
• Establish, review and maintain SOPs for boiler operation per manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure safe and economical operation of boiler units and auxiliary equipment within company regulations (FMA 1967, OSHA 1994, Environmental Quality regulations).

Job description

Manage and oversee the steam boilers operation including, maintaining the efficiency, safe operation and effective preventive maintenance of boilers operation and boiler water treatment.

To be present at every regular inspection of the machinery and at such other inspections thereof as an Inspector may require.

Implement a new plan to ensure better results in accordance with the quality standards.

Establish, review & maintain Standard Operating Procedures for boiler operation based on manufacturer’s recommended operating.

Familiar with safe working procedures, maintenance procedure and operating procedures based on company regulation,FMA 1967, OSHA 1994 and Environmental Quality (Clean Air) Regulations) 2014”., and be responsible for the safe and economical operation of boiler units and auxiliary equipment.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Others), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (Added Advantage), English

At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Required Skill(s): At least 2 years of working experience as a Steam Engineer or Steam Boiler Attendant (directly handling Boiler),

Candidate must possess the Certified Grade 2 Steam Engineer Certification from DOSH.

Candidate must be willing to recolate to Padang Serai Kulim, Kedah.
