Job summary

selesa utara enterprise in Malaysia is seeking a Stainless Steel Welding Intern to join our fabrication team for a six-month internship. You will receive hands-on training in fabricating stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks, cabinets, shelving, exhaust hoods and other customized products.

Responsibilities include assisting with welding, cutting, grinding, bending and polishing; reading basic drawings; preparing materials; checking measurements; assisting with

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Certificate, SKM, Diploma or technical course in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of welding or metal fabrication is preferred.
• Willing to learn and perform hands-on workshop duties.
• Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stainless steel welding, cutting, grinding, bending and polishing.
• Support experienced welders in fabricating commercial kitchen equipment.
• Read and follow basic technical drawings, measurements and work instructions.
• Prepare the materials, tools and equipment required for fabrication work.
• Check product measurements, workmanship and finishing quality.
• Assist with product assembly and on-site installation when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and supervisors' instructions.
