Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a Staff Test Process Engineer to provide technical leadership for automotive semiconductor testing, new product introduction, transfer, and high-volume manufacturing. The role aims to resolve yield and quality issues, optimize test performance, and drive data-based improvements in yield, OEE, retest, cycle time, and manufacturing cost.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness of final test

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics or related fields).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in semiconductor test manufacturing, product engineering, or test engineering in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the introduction and qualification of new automotive semiconductor products from development through ramp-up to high-volume manufacturing.
• Provide technical ownership and engineering support for final test operations, including yield monitoring, failure analysis, and root cause investigation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain and global engineering teams to resolve issues and meet business objectives.
• Analyze production and test data using statistical methods to identify improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions.
