Job summary

Renesas in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Staff Product & Test Engineer to lead new product introduction, transfer, and high-volume semiconductor test operations. You will drive data-based improvements in yield, OEE, cycle time, and test reliability while coordinating with global engineering teams to ensure customer delivery and product compliance.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, extensive experience with ATE platforms, and a track record of delivering robust test

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in semiconductor test manufacturing or test engineering in high-volume environments.
• Hands-on experience with automated test equipment platforms such as Advantest V93000, Teradyne J750, NI/PT, HP660/83K/93K or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the introduction and qualification of new semiconductor products from development through ramp-up.
• Provide technical ownership and support for final test operations to ensure stable production.
• Drive profitability and operational excellence through yield improvement and automation projects.
• Own product test engineering activities including test program development and release management.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain and global teams to resolve issues.
• Analyze production and test data to identify improvements and drive corrective actions.
