Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Senior Engineer in Penang, Malaysia to lead yield enhancement and drive root-cause analysis across product life cycles. You will collaborate with test, assembly, quality, and OSAT teams to resolve issues and optimize production flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing environment preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Product Engineering.
• Strong understanding of product knowledge & test methodology of analog/digital/power product, failure analysis, reliability test, RCA.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide disposition on low-yield production lots, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Work closely with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues efficiently and ensure smooth production flow.
• Execute day to day sustaining activities (EQA hold rate reduction, SYL/ SBL sustaining, etc.) to ensure delivery fulfillment.
• Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration and various engineering activities.
• Gross Margin Improvement Initiatives (Yield improvement, etc.).
• System integration.
