Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. in Penang, Malaysia seeks a Senior Product & Test Engineer to lead production readiness, sustain final test operations, and resolve yield and quality issues across test programs.

You will drive data-based improvements in yield, OEE, cycle time, and cost, coordinating with Product Groups, manufacturing, quality, and global engineering teams to ensure robust test quality and on-time customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or related field.
• Minimum 6 years in semiconductor test manufacturing or related test engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with major ATE platforms (Advantest, Teradyne, NI/PT, HP).
• Strong understanding of wafer sort, final test and post-test processes.
• Familiarity with failure analysis and root cause investigation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead introduction and qualification of new semiconductor products from development to high-volume ramp.
• Provide technical ownership and support for final test operations, including yield monitoring and failure analysis.
• Drive profitability through yield improvement, OEE optimization, retest reduction, and cost-saving automation.
• Own test engineering activities: program development, release mgmt, test coverage, audits.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and global teams to resolve issues.
• Analyze production/test data to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
