Job summary

Micron Technology invites applications for a role focused on SSD development and manufacturing support in Penang. The candidate will contribute to high-volume production while performing failure analysis from NPI through to high-volume manufacturing, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve SSD-related issues.

The ideal applicant has a degree in electrical/electronic or computer engineering and strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, and Perl.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Relevant SSD industry experience is advantageous.
Experience with computer hardware and storage interfaces (SATA/SAS) is advantageous.
Proficiency in programming languages: C, C++, Python, Perl.
Proficiency using AI tools (Claude, Copilot) for productivity and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Responsible for both product development and supporting high volume manufacturing of SSD.
Support for SSD failure analysis from NPI to HVM stage.
Perform manufacturing yield evaluation and data analysis.
Perform detailed electrical and physical failure analysis and coordinate with other departments to resolve SSD issues.
Troubleshoot failures from customer returns and provide solutions.
