Job summary

Sandisk in Penang seeks an experienced Failure Analysis Engineer to join our engineering team. You will contribute to the failure analysis of SSD products, collaborating with NAND, firmware, systems, and ASIC groups to identify causes and drive improvements.

You will evaluate electrical and mechanical characteristics, analyze reports, develop methods to reduce failures, manage lab activities, and apply Python scripting to automate tasks; knowledge of SSD architecture including NAND and power

Qualifications

• BS degree in EE/CE/CS or related field.
• MS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to failure analysis of Sandisk products to boost customer satisfaction.
• Perform failure analysis with NAND, firmware, systems, ASIC teams.
• Evaluate electrical and mechanical characteristics to identify failure causes.
• Analyze failure reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop methods and processes to improve failure analysis and reduce failures.
• Manage lab activities and coordinate with other factory teams.
• Use Python scripting to develop tools and automate tasks.
• Apply deep knowledge of SSD architecture including NAND and power control.
