onsemi is seeking a Staff Supplier Quality Engineer to lead qualification projects for advanced technologies and to participate in a broad range of supplier quality activities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications include 8+ years in semiconductor quality roles, a degree in a related engineering field, and strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. The role emphasizes early risk identification, containment, and driving improvements with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline.
+8 years of relevant experience in semiconductor engineering, manufacturing, quality, supplier quality, or supplier development.
Experience with power semiconductor products or materials preferred.
Six Sigma knowledge and proficiency with quality tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead Supplier Quality Engineering activities for NPI/NTI programs and ensure supplier readiness for time-to-market.
Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve design, material, manufacturability, and quality risks early.
Drive APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, and qualification evidence for commodities and suppliers.
Lead containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness for supplier issues.
Monitor supplier quality performance, manage improvement plans, and escalations for high-risk suppliers.
Collaborate globally to standardize material verification, supplier assessment, and audit methods.
