Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. in Penang invites an experienced engineer to drive yield enhancement, reduce test costs and ensure quality and manufacturability of semiconductor devices.

You will collaborate with test, assembly, quality and OSAT teams, review low-yield lots, perform root-cause analysis, and support new product qualification and tester platform migration.

This role requires strong data analysis, project management and communication skills to help deliver reliable, high-volume production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in test/product engineering.
• Strong understanding of analog/digital/power product testing, failure analysis, reliability testing, RCA.
• Proficiency with statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire).
• Excellent communication and strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition low-yield production lots; drive RCA and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with test engineering, assembly, quality, factory and OSAT to resolve issues and ensure smooth production flow.
• Execute day-to-day sustaining activities to reduce hold rate and ensure delivery.
• Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration and related activities.
• Drive gross margin improvement initiatives (yield improvement).

Job Description

This role interfaces with cross functional teams on all phases of product life cycle. This role is responsible for driving yield enhancement, reducing test costs and ensuring the overall quality and manufacturability of the devices.

Key Responsibilities

• 1.Review and provide disposition on low-yield production lots, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• 2.Work closely with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues efficiently and ensure smooth production flow.
• 3.Execute day to day sustaining activities (EQA hold rate reduction, SYL/ SBL sustaining, etc.) to ensure delivery fulfillment.
• 4.Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration and various engineering activities.
• 5.Gross Margin Improvement Initiatives (Yield improvement, etc.).
• 6.System integration.

Qualifications

Must Have Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• > 7 years of experience in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing environment preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Product Engineering
• Strong understanding of product knowledge & test methodology of analog/digital/power product, failure analysis, reliability test, RCA.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels
• Strong project management skills.

Good to Have Qualifications:

• Experience with module devices
• Experience with Visual Basic/C++ programming
• Experience with ATE tester platforms (Teradyne ETS364/Flex, Advantest).
