Job summary

Staff Process Engineer (CMP, Bonding, Laser Lift Off) at 5G-Starlink Pte. leads full process ownership on quality, yield, damage containment, process capability and stability, cost, CpK and related KPIs across CMP, Bonding, and Laser Lift Off stages.

This role involves DoE-based window studies, process transfer, tool qualification, CIP projects to reduce cost and improve yield, and ensuring safety and quality compliance; collaboration with Regensburg site counterparts to synchronize across sites.

Responsibilities

• Own quality, yield, damage containment, process capability and CpK; drive DoE studies for cost and quality.
• Lead process transfer, qualification and ramp projects; align with Regensburg counterparts.
• Drive CIP projects to reduce cost, expand capacity, and improve yield.
• Create and maintain procedure documentation; ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Perform risk assessment; own PFMEA, control plan, and audits.
• Provide direction for process and equipment strategy; define procurement specs and MSDS ownership and training.

• Full process ownership on quality, yield, damage containment, process capability and stability, cost, CpK and other related KPIs. Perform process window study using standard tools like DoE approach to optimize process in term of cost, and quality
• Lead process transfer, process & tool qualification and ramp related projects. Constantly align with Regensburg counterparts to ensure synchronization between sites
• Lead and drive Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) to enable cost reduction, capacity expansion, yield and performance enhancement to enable the production of Best-In-Class LED chips at competitive cost
• Create and maintain documentation, certification & compliance of procedure in assigned functional areas according to safety & quality standard to meet legal & customer requirements
• Perform risk assessment and derive necessary control to keep process stable. Owner of PFMEA, control plan and working instruction.& Lead Customer/Certifying Body Audits
• Provide direction for process and equipment strategy with procurement spec for equipment purchase. Define process media matrix. Owner of MSDS where applicable, provide training to engineers, technicians, manufacturing specialists
