Job summary

Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated nurse to provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients by delivering evidence-based clinical care, coordinating patient treatment plans and ensuring continuity of care from admission to discharge.

The role requires conducting comprehensive patient assessments, implementing and evaluating care plans, monitoring progress and documenting care, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Registered with the Nursing Board Malaysia and possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Relevant experience in Critical Care / ICU will be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care using evidence-based practices and established nursing standards.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, nursing education, research activities and professional development programmes.
• Assist in supervising, mentoring and guiding junior nurses and students where required.
• Manage life-threatening conditions and provide critical care nursing interventions in accordance with unit requirements.
• Ensure safe operation of medical equipment and maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Participate actively in departmental and hospital quality indicators and initiatives.
