Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a seasoned engineer to drive process transfer, development and qualification for technology/tool transfer in a high-volume wafer fab environment.

You will develop innovative processes and characterization methods for existing and new technologies, collaborating across production, technology integration and global teams to enable future solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on wafer fab metrology, measurement matching and related equipment engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform process transfer, development, optimization and qualification for technology/tool transfer.
• Develop innovative processes and characterization methods for existing and new tech.
• Collaborate with production, tech integration, planning and global teams to enable future tech.
• Ensure process stability, sustainment and improvements to meet targets.
• Reuse integration blocks and extend tools to maximize reuse strategy.
• Conduct FMEA and risk assessment for process changes and changes management.
• Coordinate excursions prevention, productivity and quality improvement projects.
• Interface with production, tech integration and quality engineering daily.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Perform process transfer, process development, optimization and qualification for technology transfer and/or used tool transfer
• Development of innovative processes and process characterization methodologies for existing and new technologies.
• Partnering with production module/department, technology integration, planning, business divisions and global process development counter parts in mapping and enabling future technologies.
• Perform process stability, sustaining and improvement to meet overall company targets
• Perform integration block re-use and tool extendibility to maximize re-use strategy
• Perform FMEA, risk assessment of process changes and process change management
• Initiate, coordinate and support excursion prevention, productivity and quality improvement projects
• Interface between production module/department, technology integration & quality engineering on daily routines

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent
• At least 5 years working and hands‑on experience in wafer fab metrology setup, measurement matching, and related equipment engineering
• Experience and have good methodical technique in technology synchronization and process harmonization
• Good knowledge in semiconductor unit processes, process integration, device physics and products will be of added advantage
• Good hands‑on experience on wafer fabrication processes, equipment and metrology
• Technology and or product transfer, qualification and high‑volume ramp‑up know‑how
• Highly innovative, motivated and stress‑resistant individual with zero defect mindset
• Strong problem‑solving skills and prefer working in an international team
• A good team player and able to communicate effectively in cross functional teams and at all levels
