Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia is seeking a Staff Engineer for Engineering Sample to manage and coordinate sample orders from planning through delivery, partnering with requestors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and fulfillment.

You will drive operational excellence by resolving production issues, optimizing WIP and logistics, monitoring KPIs, and supporting new product capabilities while maintaining strict quality and cycle time targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in semiconductor industry with knowledge in operation, Engineering Sample/NPI/Production Planning.
• Understanding of BE Process Flow & BOM.
• Good understanding of production logistics and related software.
• Experience with engineering sample tools and methods.
• Experience in end-to-end production/sample operations and logistics.
• Strong planning skills for production/samples schedules and delivery.
• Knowledge of Opcenter/PDP/FEBES/Tableau is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Team-oriented with a quality-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate to ensure timely fulfillment of sample orders and provide status updates.
• Work with technical teams to overcome issues in production and assess feasibility for samples.
• Plan resources for ES/Engineering Sample flow including materials, equipment and manpower.
• Generate reports on ES cost recovery, CT, OTD and analyze gaps for improvement.
• Lead expedited builds to meet KPI targets and ensure on-time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• In this role, you will manage and coordinate sample orders from planning through delivery , working closely with requestors and cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution, clear communication, and successful fulfillment of customer requirements.
• You will drive operational excellence by resolving production issues, optimizing WIP and logistics performance, supporting new product capabilities, monitoring key KPIs, and leading expedited builds to achieve cycle time, OTD, quality, and revenue targets.
• Close communicate with requestor to understand order requirement and drive sample operation to meet their needs Samples order processing and control (planning, execution, status update, delivery and provide early warning ) and coordinate to ensure smooth assembly run according to order requirement in timely decision-making manner
• Liaise with technical expert for new assembly and test capabilities/process Highlighting & working with technical team to overcome issues encounter during production with ownership of the topic Continuously stride for logistic (CT & OTD fulfilment), quality performance improvement and ES revenue with goal to achieve ambitious target
• Monitor SPO on time closure in FEBES Monitor and maintain SAMP WIP at minimum level Lead & supervise with SPO technicians to deliver the defined KPIs & support Engineer to assess feasibility / processability of a sample request in both logistical and technical views
• To be able to plan into TCR for resources base on ESFC (Material, Equipment and Manpower) Generate reports such as ES cost recovery, ES CT, OTD and perform gap analysis for further improvement
• Drive, lead, coordinate, and close follow up on Rocket /SuperFast E2E lots to meet Target FFr, dateline as per requirement by requestor

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science , or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of working experience preferable in semiconductor industry with knowledge in semiconductor operation, preferable in Engineering Sample or NPI or Production Planning
• Understanding of BE Process Flow & basic understanding of BOM required
• Good understanding of production logistic process & handling software
• Good understanding of engineering sample tools and method
• Understanding of production/sample operation from E2E processes and Logistics activities
• Good planning skill on production/samples schedule and delivery
• Knowing the Opcenter / PDP / FEBES / Tableau system is an added advantage
• Possessed good analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent in communication and negotiation skills
• Good aptitude for collaboration and people management
