Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Developer, SAP ABAP. This hybrid role is based in our Selangor or Penang office.

Responsibilities

• Assist SAP ABAP teams across regions in providing solutions to issues and completing developments.
• Support SAP Development activities for all global clients, understanding data flow and integrations.
• Resolve day-to-day system issues, recommend system design changes, and perform thorough testing and documentation.
• Guide and mentor developers within the same SCRUM/KANBAN team.
• Coordinate handovers and knowledge transfers to complete work on schedule.
• Follow a defect-free mindset in designing, developing, testing, and delivering solutions.
• Provide guidance and support to RSI Support Engineers on escalated issues.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of advanced experience in SAP ABAP HR programming.
• Good knowledge of APAC country payrolls.
• Experience in object-oriented programming—Classes and Methods.
• Expertise in SAP Script/Smartforms/Adobe Forms.
• Interface programming with file types: XML and JSON.
• Knowledge of BADIs, implicit & explicit enhancements.
• Experience designing medium to high complexity solutions for SAP R/3 4.6 – ECC 6.0, SAP S/4 HANA updates across multiple functional modules.
• Experience with Agile processes like SCRUM or KANBAN.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills in English.
