Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant in Kuala Lumpur for a 12-month renewable contract. The role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications, coordinating with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT and at least 3 years of hands-on ABAP development experience; S/4HANA development is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Experience with reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA development is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs across modules.
• Develop and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW).
• Build and support SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, ALV Reports, and custom developments.
• Develop interfaces using IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Proxy, OData, and Web Services.
• Analyze business requirements and provide technical SAP solutions aligned with best practices.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
• Prepare technical specifications and maintain development documentation.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, and business users.
• Provide production support and resolve SAP technical issues within SLAs.

SAP ABAP Consultant (Contract - 1 Year, Extendable)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a 12-month renewable contract with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting SAP applications while working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs across various SAP modules.
• Develop and enhance Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW objects).
• Build and support SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, ALV Reports, and custom developments.
• Develop interfaces using IDoc, BAPI, RFC, Proxy, OData, and Web Services.
• Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions aligned with SAP best practices.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
• Prepare technical specifications and maintain development documentation.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide production support and resolve SAP technical issues within agreed service levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong experience with:
• Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW)
• ALV Reports
• BAPI, RFC, IDoc
• OData Services and SAP Gateway
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA development is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, or Fiori integration will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Employment Type

• Contract (12 Months)
• Renewable/Extendable based on project requirements and performance.
