Job summary

Alcon in Malaysia is seeking a Sr. Associate I in Master Data Management (Professional Path) to be the first point of contact for associates globally, guiding on HR topics and escalating issues as needed.

You will handle HR tickets via Service Now and Workday, process lifecycle changes, maintain confidentiality, and contribute to documentation and process improvements. Collaboration across teams and regional/global projects is essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of HR operations, preferably in an HR Shared Services function.
• Experience in using HR systems and ticketing tools (SAP, Workday, ServiceNow).

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Associate I, Master Data Management (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for serving as the first point of contact for Alcon associates and managers globally, providing guidance on HR topics and escalating issues as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Resolve day-to-day tickets via Service Now and Workday transactions, ensuring timely updates and system accuracy.

• Handle client requests with politeness and detailed responses.

• Process HR lifecycle changes: employment verifications, personnel file administration, new hire processes, employee job and data changes, onboarding, referrals and other processes, while following global and local processes and compliance guidelines and maintaining confidentiality of employee data and compliance

• Share ideas for continuous improvement and seek guidance on forming solutions.

• Familiarize yourself with Root Cause analysis with support and guidance.

• Support the creation and consistent update of clear documentation, including SOPs, policies, and guidelines.

• Committing to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and proposing solutions.

• Solving problems using root cause analysis.

• Prioritizing tasks and managing competing priorities effectively.

• Organizing, monitoring, and enhancing relationships with stakeholders.

• Handling client requests within agreed Service Level Agreements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Having a good understanding of HR operations, preferably in an HR Shared Services function.

• Experience in using HR systems and ticketing tool, for example: SAP, Workday and ServiceNow

• Strong administrative ability, managing a complex and varied workload

• Ability to work effectively in an environment subject to changing priorities and short deadlines.
