Job summary

Western Digital is seeking a Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineering to lead spare parts inventory management, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime at our Malaysia site. You will oversee end-to-end planning, procurement coordination, and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage the inventory team, and work with ERP systems to optimize stock, forecast demand, and support maintenance shutdowns and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in maintenance spare parts, warehouse, inventory, or MRO materials management within a manufacturing environment.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle) or other planning software, demand forecasting, inventory management and production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-wide management of maintenance spare parts to ensure equipment reliability and uninterrupted production.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock optimization, and consumption analysis to maintain optimal levels.
• Coordinate end-to-end spare parts procurement, including demand planning, purchase requisitions, supplier follow-up, delivery, and repair services.
• Prepare quarterly spare parts demand forecasts and support maintenance shutdown, turnaround, and project planning activities.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock audits, discrepancy investigations, and corrective actions.
