Job summary

Amtel Cellular Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is hiring three Technicians to support solar PV installations, BESS integration, and ongoing maintenance across outdoor sites.

Responsibilities include assembling panels and inverters, wiring AC/DC cables, conducting site surveys, testing systems, and ensuring compliance with OSH guidelines. Fresh graduates welcome; 1–3 years preferred for hands-on wiring and roof work.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related technical field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical wiring, roof works, or Solar PV installation.
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of solar PV components, inverters, and BESS.

Responsibilities

• System Installation: Assemble, install, and secure solar PV panels, mounting structures, and inverters per designs and specifications.
• BESS Integration: Assist in setup, installation, and basic commissioning of Battery Energy Storage Systems for the project.
• Electrical Wiring: Perform AC/DC cable laying, wire routing, conduit installation, and terminations safely and accurately.
• Site Preparation & Survey: Assist in site assessments, roof measurements, and shading analysis before installation.
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct basic system testing, voltage checks, and troubleshooting for solar PV and BESS.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and diagnostic checks on existing solar arrays.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure on-site work adheres to safety protocols and local electrical regulations.
• Reporting: Document daily progress, materials used, and site issues to the Project Manager.

QUALIFICATION:

Education: Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical wiring, roof works, or specifically Solar PV installation. Fresh grad are encourage to apply

Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of solar PV components, inverters, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Physical Capability: Physically fit, able to lift heavy equipment, and comfortable working outdoors and at heights (e.g., rooftops) under varying weather conditions.

Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health (OSH) guidelines, particularly concerning electrical hazards and working at heights.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and diagnostic checks on existing solar arrays to identify and resolve faults.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all on-site work strictly adheres to company safety protocols, local electrical regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Reporting: Document daily installation progress, materials used, and any site issues, reporting directly to the Project Manager
