Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (TCMH) in Malaysia seeks an experienced electrician with a strong solar PV background to handle low and medium voltage equipment in interconnection facilities. The role covers scheduled and routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and on-site repairs to sustain plant performance.
You will support construction, installation, and commissioning, read technical specs, document maintenance reports, and coordinate with operations for timely inspections.
Looking for candidate with experience as an electrician, electrical background which need to handle low voltage and medium voltage electrical equipment in the interconnection facilities, scheduled & routine maintenance for solar panels.
1. Provide technical assistance during construction, installation, maintenance and repair of plant electrical equipment.
2. Maintain the solar plant equipment’s at the optimal level and ensure the scheduled and routine maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
3. Check the fault conditions of various equipment and solar PV arrays, and repair and replace damaged components and circuits as and when needed.
4. Lay and connect the lines and clean the solar photovoltaic modules.
5. Coordinate with the operation & maintenance time, carry out regular inspection and maintenance.
6. Analyze the abnormal status of product functionality.
7. Responsible for the documentation and management of maintenance reports.
Diploma/Certificate or equivalent practical experience, engineering degree/diploma from an accredited college or university is preferred.
3 years minimum working experience in the solar PV industry designing solar arrays and solar plant O&M.
Technically competent and capable of understanding engineering concepts and solar plant maintenance.
Experience reading and understanding technical specifications and construction documents.
Experience with professional oral and written communication skills.
