Job summary

TERA VA SDN. BHD. in Kota Kinabalu / Tawau is seeking a project engineer to support EPCC solar PV projects from site visits to commissioning.

You will work with Business Development to define scope, prepare BOMs, and coordinate with subcontractors for installation, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards. The role requires Diploma/Engineering degree and willingness to work on public holidays when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing project management documentation.
• Knowledge of system related documentation will be an advantage.
• Diploma/degree in Engineering is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform site visits with Business Development to capture project scope.
• Define project scope and responsibilities with Business Development.
• Generate BOM and discuss engineering design with BD for complete coverage.
• Present project to client and secure drawing approvals; manage installation per design.
• Engage subcontractors for installation scope and cost; negotiate and propose them.
• Notify Purchaser on solar panels/inverters models, quantities, and BOMs for planning.
• Coordinate with Logistics for delivery; supervise subcontractors to meet standards.
• Provide daily project status updates to Office, BD, and client; manage subcontractor progress claims.
• Witness testing and commissioning; QA/QC on completion; hand over to client.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

To perform site visit with Business Development upon order intake.

To identify all scope required for the project from Business Development personnel.

To ensure achieved common consensus of Project's Scope and Responsibility with Business Development.

To generate Project/System Bill of Material (BOM) List.

Meet and discuss with Business Development on the Engineering Design, finalize and ensure all scopes and details are covered/ included.

To handle Project Presentation to Client and secure drawing approval and execute installation according to Designed Quantity.

To engage subcon for installation scope and cost.

Compare costing, negotiate and propose subcon for the project and present in Kick Off Meeting.

To notify Purchaser (F & A) on solar panels & inverters Model & Quantity; BOM List Quantity and Subcon cost for purchase planning during Kick Off Meeting.

Liaise with Logistic Officer for delivery arrangement.

Supervise and ensure subcon perform accordingly at site with engineering logic and industrial relevant standard.

Report/ Update Daily Project Status with Office/ Business Development/ Client.

Subcon Progress Claim Approval process.

Witness Testing & Commissioning; QA & QC upon complete installation.

Project handover presentation to Client.

To perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Preferrable 1-2 years of working experience in executing the engineering of Solar PV projects.

Experience in preparing project management documentation.

Knowledge and experience in preparing system related documentation Software & Tools: MS Word, MS Excel MS Visio, AUTOCAD, Helios, PVsyst or equivalent.

Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering.

Experience & understanding of Health, Safety and Occupational (HSO) will be added advantage.

Must be able & willing to work on Public Holiday in completing required tasks.

Position are available in Kota Kinabalu (KK) / Tawau.
